Unlike fragmented training routes, our programme offers a seamless and guaranteed progression through Level 4 and Level 6, meaning you will be a fully qualified Licensed Conveyancer by the end of your course!

What you need before you join
To join our combined apprenticeship programme, you’ll need to be:
+ 16 years of age or older
+ Not in full or part-time education
+ Currently living in England
+ Working in a legal environment and have your employer’s approval to start this apprenticeship
+ Motivated to commit to 4-5 years of studies
Should you find that committing to 4-5 years of study is too much, then you can also complete the level 4 and level 6 apprenticeships separately with our standalone programmes.
Course content
As you’d expect from an apprenticeship, our CLC combined conveyancer apprenticeship programme has been designed to work closely alongside your role, involving on-the-job training as well as the more traditional tuition that we’ll provide.
However, when it comes to your on-the-job training, our tutors will be on hand to help agree on each training programme with you and your employer, making it very much a collaborative and inclusive apprenticeship course.

Typically, people take four to five years to complete this combined apprenticeship programme, however, if you take longer, we’ll still be there to support you all the way to the end.
How to apply
To apply for this combined apprenticeship programme, you must be employed in a legal environment and have your employer’s permission to undertake this apprenticeship.

However, if you are not yet in an eligible role, then in short, the process for applying to the apprenticeship is as follows:
1. Find an apprenticeship role
If you’re eager to start an apprenticeship in law or any other field, your top priority is finding one. Unlike traditional qualifications, apprenticeships involve on-the-job training, so you’ll need to search for the ideal opportunity, much like you would when looking for a job.

2. Send in your application
You’ll find that the application process closely resembles applying for a job. Here are a few of the key considerations when completing this step:
- Make your CV and cover letter stand out and tailor them for each application
- Research the company’s history, values and recent events/performance
- Be professional throughout the process, just as you would on the job
- Don’t give up! The apprenticeship market is competitive, so don’t expect to be accepted at the first attempt. Keep trying!
